{Cleaning Up}

Good Morning!! GAH! and what a great morning it is, I have had 2 interviews this week and they were both so fun and amazing and I loved reading them {haha even though I wrote them, and I knew exactly what they were going to say!!} I wanted to let you all in on a little preparation or "cleaning up" I did on my blog to get ready for all the possible traffic I would be getting.

So first thing I did was fix up all of my buttons from other blogs some were right, and others left, it didn't really look that good. All you have to do is add <center> to the beginning of the code and </center> to the end of the code!! Simple as that and all your buttons are lined up, and looking good.

Next thing I wanted to make a cute new Header or Banner...Which I made up using Picnik which is a totally free picture editor. And all my own pictures...Just upload your pics, make them into a collage, add some text, and install!

I'm slowly learning how to do all this computer, blog stuff on my own. I hope these really simple tips have helped you out....I would love if you could share your own tips!!!

{Eleventh Monkey Interview}

Louana and I "met" during our Indie Biz 3.0 course. She was really helpful and showed me how to code my widget, among many other things!! {Happy Monday! umm...I mean Tuesday!}

I'm Back! What a great May long weekend! 4 whole days with not a care in the world, having fun with great friends! And I got a nice little surprise this afternoon... YEOWWWW!! My Gussy Sews order!!! I have been captivated by Gussys blog for quite some time now, Maggies story is truly inspirational and I really look up to her ;)

A key!! Oh how I love getting the key, it means I got something too big and beautiful to fit in the normal post box.

Two pretty Gussy bags! One for my sister and one for my momma! Now I might just have to buy myself a little clutch ;)I don't want to be left out!!

{Long time no blog}

WOW! I have been such a bad blogger this week, and it's going to get worse because as of tomorrow after 1 pm I will be camping! Which means no cell, no ipod touch {for twitter}, no computer, and no Internet. But it's going to be great, everyone needs some time to relax and be cut off from the rest of the world...pretty refreshing.

So pretty much I am apologizing for my lack of bloggy goodness early. Sorry guys....But on the upside here is a pretty pair of earrings I made :)

In other news:

As we were going through the camper last night and checking out what we had and didn't have I found my most favorite hair brush that had been lost for about 1 whole year. Don't you love finding things you thought had been lost for good? I read somewhere that when you put your winter coats away for the summer, you should put $20 dollars in the pocket, so when winter blows in and you put you jacket on you have a nice little surprise! Great idea but what if your like me and you have 4 winter jackets!haha

{Mustache Maddness Monday}

Oh ya I have a mustache...on my coffee cozys!! he he I'm working on hounds tooth and mustache cozys for all!! I have a ton of black and bright neon green hounds tooth I need to use up, and they look really cute with an added mustache!

I'm off all day today and tomorrow!! eeek pretty exciting and then only 3 work days until MAY LONG WEEKEND! I can't wait, if you don't know what May Long Weekend is it's pretty much the best holiday EVER! It's for camping, drinking, fires, smores, smokies, fishing, rivers, quading, hiking, drinking, friends, beer frisbee, beanbags, late nights, and good eats and beats! Oh ya and it lasts 4 days!

But until then I would like to stay locked away in my sewing room slaving away! {But it's not really slaving because I like it!}

Happy Saturday Everyone! Hope your all having a great weekend so far. I am to I guess, for the most part I have gotten over mistakenly forgetting to put our wedding date on our dance invites :)Haha I guess it's a bit funny...like who does that? Anyways on with the show!

I just love seeing inside other peoples studios/office/work space, so I thought I would give you a little glimpse of mine. I took all these photos with my instagram app on my ipod, hence the poorish quality. I don't mind the pics I think they are really cool they are just a bit fuzzy is all.

Here is my lovely Kenmore, his name is Kenny! He actually belongs to my mom, but she has kindly let me use him! One day I hope to get my own sewing machine but Kenny works just fine, and the sewing machine I long for is far too expensive {$1500} ouch! and that's cheap...

Haha! I will never forget the first thing I tried to sew without a rotary cutter or a mat! FAIL! These are definitely essentials to any sewist I'm sure!

{Ooopsy Poops}

Just when you think everything is going according to plan BAM! Life throws a sack of hammers at you unsuspectingly...that's a real saying right?

You will never guess what has been brought to my attention today. Guess what me and my proofreaders missed on the "dance" wedding invites?? THE DATE!! SOMETHING THAT COULD HAVE BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION YESTERDAY!!! {Thank you Adam Sandler for providing me with comic relief} Yes that's right my wedding plans were coming along just fine until this happened. I'm pretty much devastated, but I have already printed new copies to send out to the recipients, along with a handwritten note...any other suggestions for fixing this little issue?? That's the best I could come up with. To say the least I'm just really embarrassed and I just want to crawl into my bed and sleep for days and days and forget this mess never happened.

But I can't I am far too busy for that and life must go on! And Trevor said what's done is done and I can't do anything about it...except I am hoping that the incorrect dance invites get lost in the mail...

In other news...I am hoping to get some baking done this weekend. I'm thinking some personal pies! I found this idea online somewhere and haven't stopped thinking about it...here are some really great pics:

Cute right? You bake them in fat mini mason jars! And you can do what ever flavor you want...I'm thinking apple, or strawberry rhubarb...mmmm. Also you can freeze them and they can be stored so easy you just put the jar lid back on!

For the last couple days I have been busy cutting, pinning, pressing, and sewing up crayon cozys! I can't wait for little kiddos to get there hands on these and start making some art!

Also today is one of two days off for me, and I have a huuuge TO DO list. Here is what's on my plate today:
-Pay for some wedding stuff
-Find new caterer {long story}
-Groceries
-Cleaning
-Laundry

-Weed garden
-Sewing

Unfortunately sewing has to be last on the list today, but if I get everything done, I can relax and sew tomorrow ALL DAY!! So I guess that's some incentive to git er done :)

{Mothers Day Fun!!}

So this next post is pretty picture heavy but they are sooo cute! I had the greatest day with my mom and my sister for mothers day. My fave out of all of these pics is the one of us three girls, that I took in the shop window :)

So colorful! This great store called Sunworks that we went into had rows and rows beautiful dishes and coffee mugs. So pretty and shiny!

Las Palmeras: We missed Cinco by 2 days, Oh well!

{Recipe Swap Thursday}

Today I will be linking up with Prairie Story for Recipe Swap Thursday! This isn't my own recipe I got it from my lovely sister, who is the queen of salads! She always has a new and interesting salad up her sleeve {not literally of course! HA}

For this recipe you will need:

-Mixed bell peppers red, orange, yellow

-A medium purple onion

-REAL olives

-Feta cheese

-Roma tomatoes

-Mixed greens

-A good greek salad dressing

Cut all vegetables "greek style" {I think that's a culinary term?} Greek Style just pretty much means large chunks.

Add vegetables to a large bowl of your mixed greens

Top your mixture with feta cheese and whole olives.

Add your greek dressing just before serving <3

Hope you enjoy this recipe! It was such a good salad enjoyed at a BBQ last week on the back porch.

{WIWW-With The Pleated Poppy}

It's Wednesday people! Time for another attempt at What I Wore Wednesday. I only got one outfit this week though, but it's a good one :) The day I took these pics was a CRAZY day...after I took these pics and started to drive to work I realized that I forgot to put on mascara. And I don't know about you but if I forget mascara, it looks like I have no eye lashes because they are so blonde. So obviously I had to go buy more mascara which was going to make me late for work....{keep reading below to see what happens next}

....So onto the rest of my story I was a bit late for work and I still needed my Tims coffee. So I'm in the drive thru playing on my I pod all of a sudden I look up and my truck is PUSHING this little car! GAH! So we both get our coffees and park after the drive thru to assess the damage. {By this point I'm pretty much in tears} This girl is like the sweetest person in the world and says "It's totally fine, there is no damage, are you okay?" Of course I'm okay, but are you? I just hit your car?! I gave her the biggest hug EVER and apologized. Long story short no damage for either of us, and I will never play on my I pod in the drive through again!!

{Camptastic}

Now that spring has officially sprung {yes I know I have mentioned my excitedness multiple times but after 8 months of winter you would be excited to} I am getting in the camping mood. I'm not sure if everyone celebrates May Long weekend with a super awesome weekend of camping with friends or if it's just an Albertan thing?! But I CAN NOT WAIT!! GAH!!! It's pretty much the best weekend of camping EVER!

What are you most excited for this spring/summer?

{Fight Night!}

Have I mentioned how in {love} I am with instagram lately? If you have and Ipod or an Iphone I would recommend downloading it! It's a great way to connect and share photos with other people, or just look at some really great photos. The Earlybird filter is by far my favorite as you can probably tell...I also downloaded This is note, and Label box but I haven't had a chance to play around with them yet...any tips or suggestions are welcome.

We had a house full of people yesterday, 10.5 to be exact! My sister brought that lovely greek mixed green salad it was soooo good. I will be sharing the recipe on Thursday if you interested. My mom and Dad brought dessert, and 2 lovely bouquets of tulips for a hostess gift! I just love little unsuspected gifts like that <3

After a great dinner, we all sat down and watched a little UFC 129! Haha it was a blast!
